The Bees evened the score at 1-1 when Ofir Weintraub and Willy Frei topped Jan Hoekzema and Istvan Bolgar 8-2 at No. 2.

At No. 1 doubles, the ERAU tandem of Mislav Hizak and Konstantin Lazarov went up 7-6 and were serving for the match when Jan Menzen and Dima Chiriacov earned a break to tie the score. The Bees duo held serve and broke again to win 9-7 and give SCAD a 2-1 lead.

Both Bolgar and Hoekzema redeemed themselves in singles play earning the Eagles' first two singles wins. It took Bolgar just over an hour to defeat Horcasitas 6-2, 6-1 at the sixth position and Hoekzema followed with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Chiriacov at No. 4.

Hizak also avenged his doubles loss with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Menzen at the top spot to increase the ERAU advantage to 4-2.

In the remaining three matches at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5, the Eagles each went up a set and the remainder of the match became a race to see who would score the clincher.
