Marga Rico Jimenez 8-0 and Sara Byrne and Steffie Plaza held off the ERAU duo of
Mathilda Engstrom and
Julija Stojkovska 8-6.
Natasa Zoricic and
Hana Im pulled the Blue and Gold back to within one with an 8-4 victory over Isabella Bauer and Pelagie Gamo at No. 1 doubles.
Abraul made quick work of her match at No. 6 singles, blanking Emily White 6-0, 6-0. But the Crimson Storm regained its one point lead when Plaza topped Engstrom in straight sets (6-2, 6-1) at No. 5.
Zoricic pulled the Eagles level again with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Bauer at No. 1, but SNU moved ahead as Im was unable to build on a first-set win, falling to Kozhevnikova 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.
The next match off the court was at the No. 4 spot where Stojkovska kept the Eagles in the match, taking the first set 6-4 and winning a tough second set 7-6 (7-5 in the tie breaker).
