DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's volleyball
team kicked off the 2009 Bahama House Invitational with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-15,
25-23) win over the Evangel Crusaders Friday at the ICI Center in their first
home match of the season.
Freshman Jordan Holcomb marked a solid performance for the
Blue and Gold, tallying a season-best 18 kills and three service aces, while Abby Hall contributed 10 kills and 14 digs in the Eagles' home opener. Julia Frassetto led the Eagles defensively, picking up 14 digs and freshman setter
Adriana Vazquez tallied 36 assists on the match.
The Eagles move to 5-0 overall and remain 4-0 in conference
play.
The Blue and Gold will face Lindsey Wilson in their second match of the day at
7 p.m. in the ICI Center.
