DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Senior middle blockers Emily Jacobson (10 kills, 5 blocks, .769 hitting percentage) and Morgan Shattuck (8 kills, 3 blocks. .727 hitting percentage) celebrated their final home regular season match in style, with Jacobson breaking her own school record for hitting percentage in a match.
 
With the win, Embry-Riddle finishes the regular season with a 19-9 record and a perfect 11-0 mark in conference play, marking the fifth consecutive undefeated conference regular season for the Eagles. ERAU's last regular season conference loss came on Sept. 12, 2008 at Webber International; since then, the Blue and Gold have won 76 consecutive TSC regular season matches.
 
Ave Maria wraps up the season at 6-16 and 3-7 in conference play. The Gyrenes will be the No. 6 seed in next week's Sun Conference Tournament.
 
Jennifer Beatty led the Eagles with a match-high 11 kills while Taylor Ruiz chipped in with six kills and seven digs. Jacobson and Shattuck tallied 18 kills in 24 swings between the two of them, with neither player committing an attack error. Tamires Ferreira ran the offense very efficiently for Embry-Riddle, racking up 32 assists while helping the team to a .427 hitting percentage. Ferreira added five kills, five digs and four blocks, while Hannah Gray collected a match-high 15 digs.
 
Hannah Wurster led the Gyrenes with eight kills while Briana Jackson tallied a team-high 15 assists and Marian DeTar registered a team-best nine digs.
 
The Eagles, who never trailed at any point in the match, scored the first six points of the match, including three Ferreira aces. Jacobson's first kill pushed the lead to 15-2 and the Blue and Gold cruised to a 25-12 win in the first set.
 
Shattuck put down a kill in the second set that pushed ERAU's lead to 13-8, and a few points later scored another kill that sparked a 4-0 run to build the margin to 17-10. Embry-Riddle closed the set on a 6-2 run to win, 25-17, taking a two sets to none lead.
 
Shattuck and Jacobson scored back-to-back kills to initiate a 4-0 run that helped the Eagles to a 7-2 lead early in the third set. Shattuck put down another kill that made it 14-7 and the Blue and Gold sailed to a 25-14 win, completing the 3-0 sweep.
 
Embry-Riddle has clinched the top seed in The Sun Conference Tournament, which kicks off with first round action on Tuesday, Nov. 12. As the top seed, ERAU receives a bye to the semifinals and will host the semifinals and championship on Nov. 15 & 16, respectively.
