@ERAUVolleyball Sweeps Webber International for Ninth Straight Conference Win

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Evelina Abdurakhmanova (14 kills, eight digs, five blocks) and Jennifer Beatty (11 kills, 10 digs) led the Eagles to a convincing 3-0 sweep (25-15, 25-18, 25-16) of visiting Webber International on Friday night. ERAU improved to 15-9, 9-1 in conference play with the win, while the Warriors dropped to 13-14 and 6-6 in league play.

The Eagles looked to be the better side for nearly the entire evening, leading for almost the entire match. In the first set, ERAU used an early 8-0 run to jump out to a 10-2 lead and never looked back, winning the set, 25-15.

Webber International led by a score of 2-1 in the second set, which was the only point the Warriors were in front during the frame. 10 points later it was 9-4 Eagles, and Embry-Riddle maintained the advantage all the way to a 25-18 win.

Set three saw WIU leading for all but one of the first 19 points of the set. It wasn't until an errant serve from Sydney Slater that ERAU was able to take a lead, which was 12-11 at that point. The Blue and Gold rattled off the next nine points to build the advantage to 21-11, and cruised to a 25-16 victory from there, completing the sweep.

Hannah Gray collected 15 digs for the Eagles and Tamires Ferreira tallied 37 assists and eight digs. ERAU's middle blockers were efficient, as Erika Hinel had five kills and seven blocks (two solo), hitting .385, and Cheye-Anne Savage added seven kills and five blocks while hitting .429.

Anitaka Knight led Webber International with 11 kills while Breanna Bissel chipped in nine kills and eight digs. Michelle Calderon picked up a match-high 17 digs and Sydney Slater racked up 20 assists.

The Eagles will be back in action tomorrow at 2 p.m. when they host Warner in another Sun Conference match.
