BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle volleyball team fell to 9-3 on the season with a 3-1 (26-24, 23-25, 25-16, 25-22) loss at Lynn on Friday night. With the win, the Fighting Knights even their record at 6-6 on the year.

Amanda Saunders added seven kills and 10 digs and
Sumerr Paxton picked up a team-high 12 digs.
Tamires Ferreira notched a double-double with 46 assists and 10 digs.
The first set was extremely tight, with neither side able to pull out to a lead larger than three points. ERAU went on a late 4-0 run to take a 23-20 lead, but Lynn rallied back with a 4-0 run of its own to move ahead, 24-23. After staving off two set points, the Blue and Gold fell by a 26-24 score.
After falling behind 3-0 in the second set, Embry-Riddle rallied to take a 6-5 lead and never trailed for the rest of the frame. The lead never surpassed three points, but ERAU kept Lynn at bay throughout the set, eventually clinching a 25-23 win on a Pajic kill.
Set three saw Lynn turn a 12-10 lead into a 25-16 win thanks to a sustained run of points that Embry-Riddle wasn't ever able to break. The Eagles mustered just nine kills in the set while Lynn hit .429 with 16 kills against just one error.
The Fighting Knights jumped out to an 11-5 lead in set four and appeared poised to cruise to a match-clinching victory. After an ERAU timeout, the Eagles began to mount a comeback, and within six rallies the deficit had been cut to two (12-10), forcing LU to take a timeout of its own. That didn't break ERAU's momentum and the Blue and Gold continued to push, eventually pulling ahead by an 18-14 score. That lead would prove to be short-lived as the Fighting Knights fought back with a 7-0 spurt keyed by four blocks to retake the lead, 21-18. The Eagles pulled to within a point at 22-21, but Lynn held on for a 25-22 win to secure the match.
The Eagles will be back on the court tomorrow afternoon for a 4 p.m. match at Nova Southeastern.
