DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle will serve as the host site for the Beijing Shougang Eagles of the National Pro Fastpitch league this summer. The ERAU Softball Stadium will be the official training home for the Eagles as they prepare for international competition, which includes the XVI WBSC Women's Softball World Championship 2018 in Chiba Japan, August 2-12.
Coached by Teresa Wilson, the Beijing Eagles will conduct practices and training sessions on campus and will play 18 of its NPF games at the ERAU Softball Stadium.
The Beijing Eagles open their NPF season on Saturday, May 19 when they take on the Aussie Spirit at the Griffon Softball Field on the campus of Missouri Western State University. The Eagles' first game at ERAU will be at 7 p.m. on May 25.
