Sabrina Ehrenfort and
Mafalda Soares won four singles and two doubles matches each to lead the Embry-Riddle women's tennis team at the 5th Annual Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational hosted by Bethune-Cookman on the clay courts at the Florida Tennis Center. The tournament marked the Eagles' final competition of the fall season.
Ehrenfort won all four singles matches in straight sets, including a 6-1, 6-0 defeat of Keiser's Lisa Khamassi to win the "B" Flight at the three-day tournament and close out the fall campaign with a 10-1 singles record. Ehrenfort partnered with newcomer
Julia Mautner to top Florida A&M's Sophia Osabouhien and Adrienne Clayton 6-3, and Rollins' Georgina Groth and Valentina Serino 6-4. However, the duo was unable to get by Alexandra Yeardley and Anais Gabriel, falling to the Keiser pair 7-5 in the championship match of the "B" doubles flight.
Soares also went undefeated in singles play en route to winning the "C" Flight. After besting Yeardly 6-4, 2-6, 10-7 in the opening round, Soares rattled of three straight-set victories, including downing Yeardley's teammate Melanie Dveksler 6-1, 6-4 in the title match.
