ORLANDO, Fla. – The 18th-ranked Embry-Riddle men's tennis team returned to the win column on Wednesday with a decisive 7-0 defeat on Augustana (S.D.) in a neutral site match at the USTA National Campus. The Eagles improved their record to 4-5 on the year, while the Vikings fell to 5-7.
 
Andres Donayre and Lucas Bos got the Eagles' first point of the afternoon with a 6-2 defeat of Frank Kelly and Eden Mrozek at No. 2 doubles. Alexis Guedy and Andrej Omeragic assured the Eagles of the doubles point with their 6-3 defeat of Logan Barr and Joe Sawatzke at the top spot, but the Vikings avoided the doubles sweep when North Knewtson and Austin VanDerWeide outlasted Blake Rowheder and Tim Loerwink 7-5 on court three.
 
Bos made quick work of Sawatzke, downing the Vikings' third flight singles player 6-2, 6-0 for the Eagles' first singles win of the afternoon. Omeragic was next off the court following his 6-2, 6-0 win over Mrozek on court four and Guedy scored the clincher with a 6-1, 6-2 defeat of VanDerWeide at No. 2 singles.
 
After Donayre (6-2, 6-3) and Loerwink (6-0, 6-2) notched straight set wins over Barr and Kelly at the first and sixth spots, respectively, Rowheder sealed the shutout by pulling out a three-set (6-4, 6-7 (5), 10-6) win against Knewtson to close out the match.
 
The Eagles will take on Brown in an exhibition match on March 25, before returning to Sunshine State Conference play at Rollins on March 27.
