DADE CITY, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's golf team concluded its season on Tuesday after playing the final round of the Sunshine State Conference Championships.
The Eagles finished strong, posting its lowest round of the tournament with a team score of 300. ERAU placed ninth out of 11 teams.
Joshua Hickling (74+73+71=218) finished as the low-man in his final collegiate tournament. The senior carded a 71 on the day to finish 16th on the individual leaderboard.
Ian Aldarondo (73+79+74=226) followed, tying for 36 in the individual standings. Aldarondo led the Eagles with a 74.9 average this season.
Quinn Guizman (79+77+77=233),
Kaiser Hartmann (75+78+83=236) and
Caleb Bryant (83+86+78=246) rounded out the scoring for the Eagles. Bryant shot his lowest score of the tournament in his final round as an Eagle.
"We finished the season with some solid play," ERAU Head Coach
Ken Staton said. "The guys represented Embry-Riddle very well, and I am proud of how they came together at the end of the year."
Barry (284-283-277) took home the Sunshine State Championship, finishing with a team score of 844. The Buccaneers ended the day six strokes ahead of Lynn (294+280+276), despite the Fighting Knights holding the lowest score in the field in the last two rounds. Nova Southeastern (282+302+281=865) finished the tournament in third place.
Niclas Weiland (71+68+68=207) represented Barry at the top of the individual standings. NSU's Juan Jose Guerra (67+76+66=209) placed second, followed by Lynn's Agustin Errazuriz (73+73=65).
