DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle softball team concluded its season with a series sweep of Barry at the ERAU Softball stadium on Saturday.
After honoring seniors

ReAnne Drayton made it 11-1 in the sixth. An RBI single by
Maggie Scott ended game two by a score of 10-2. ERAU (26-19, 17-13 SSC) outscored Barry (13-40, 6-24 SSC) 29-5 in the series sweep.

Savannah Brockenbrough's sac fly made it a 7-1 game after the fifth. Hop started the bottom of the sixth with a double down the left field line. Pereira scored her with a single up the middle. The Eagles scored three more runs in the third after a wild pitch and a two-run double from Scott, making it an 8-1 game. In the bottom of the fourth, the Eagles had Pereira on third. Blesa sent a deep fly ball that allowed her fellow senior to make it a 9-1 game. The Buccaneers scored a run in the top of the fifth to try to avoid the mercy rule.
Walks from
B Limon and Brockenbrough started the bottom of the fifth.
Lia Johnson pinch ran for Limon and took third base. This set up Scott for the game-ending RBI single as the Eagles won 10-2.
Scott went 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs. Blesa tallied two RBIs in her last game as an Eagle. Pereira also went out on a high note, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
