DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – It was all Eagles from start to finish Tuesday night at the ERAU Softball Stadium, as the Embry-Riddle softball team picked up a pair of midweek wins over Adelphi by scores of 11-0 in five innings in home one, and 4-1 in game two. The Eagles (12-5) pounded out 21 hits over the course of 12 innings to move to 4-0 all-time against the Panthers (2-4).

The Blue & Gold wasted no time taking the lead in game one, as an RBI triple by
Katy Thompson and sacrifice fly by
ReAnne Drayton pushed across the first runs of the game in the Eagles' first at-bats of the day.

Following a scoreless second inning, the Eagles struck for three more runs in the third. A grounder off the bat of
Michy Ramos with bases loaded took a bad hop and deflected off the shoulder of shortstop Kailah Konkel into centerfield, allowing two runs to score in the persons of Thompson and
Lisa Hop. A squeeze bunt by
Jamie Mead would bring Drayton home for the third run of the inning to make it a 5-0 lead.

ERAU broke things wide open in the sixth inning, scoring six times to put things all but out of reach and into run-rule territory. A bases-loaded walk by Hop forced home
Caitlinjoy Hammer, and immediately after Drayton recorded her second  sac fly to bring in
Lia Johnson. Ramos would then double to deep left to make it 9-0. Mead concluded the scoring in the opener, launching  a two-run bomb to left center for the first homerun of her Eagle career to make it 11-0.

Hop would then move to the circle to work the fifth inning and retired three straight to end the game after surrendering a leadoff walk.

Jayla Jackson (6-2) picked up the win, as she baffled the Panthers during her four innings in the circle, allowing just two hits and striking out four. Scott, Ramos and
Savannah Brockenbrough all turned in 2-3 games, with Scott scoring twice and Ramos driving in four. Mead finished the game with three runs driven while Drayton had two of her own. Eight of the nine players in the starting lineup scored a run in the opener.

Embry-Riddle once again grabbed the early lead in the nightcap, as they hung up a two-spot in the bottom of the first inning.
Michy Ramos worked a bases-loaded walk to force home
Maggie Scott, and
Jamie Mead brought in a run the form of
Lisa Hop when she hit into a fielder's choice at second base.

It would be a 3-0 game at the end of the second inning, as after fouling off several tough pitches,
Katy Thompson found some green up the middle as she singled to score
Lia Johnson after she navigated the bases following a one-out walk.

The final run of the evening for the Eagles came in the third, when pinch-runner
Rachel Bryant got into a run down between first and second on a steal attempt. Bryant stayed in the play long enough to allow
ReAnne Drayton to race home from third to make it a 4-0 ballgame.

The Panthers would break through for their lone run in the sixth inning, as freshman pinch-hitter Lauren Shambo took the first pitch of her collegiate career out to left field.

Hop (3-0) pitched her best game of the season, as she faced the minimum through her five innings of work, and was perfect through three innings before allowing a leadoff double in the fourth the was consequently erased when the runner overshot third base and was tagged out by Ramos on a strong throw in from
Savannah Brockenbrough.
Kelsi Collins worked the final two innings to wrap up the win for the Eagles.

Scott and Drayton each carded three-hit games in the second game of the twinbill, and four different players scored a run in the contest. Scott also laid claim to the top spot in another category of the ERAU record book, as she surpassed
Anna Battison for the program's all-time mark in runs scored when she crossed home in the first inning for the 112th time as an Eagle.

Sunshine State Conference play resumes for Embry-Riddle, as they head west to St. Petersburg to take on Eckerd in a three-game series. Game one is set for 7 p.m. Friday, with a doubleheader to follow on Saturday at 12 p.m.
