Women's Soccer Ties Rollins 2-2 On the Road

WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Embry-Riddle women's soccer team earned its fifth tie of the 2022 season with a 2-2 tie of Rollins College, Wednesday at the Barker Family Stadium. With the win, the Eagles move to 9-0-5 overall and 4-0-5 in the Sunshine State Conference while the Tars move to 5-5-3 overall and 3-2-2 in league play.

The Tars dominated possession in the first half. The tempo was high, and home field advantage was on their side. In the 22nd minute, the Tars' Anna Todd scored the first goal off of a free kick from Meghan Mosley. The Eagles continued to fight, but just six minutes later, Sophia Olore was able to find the back of the net with an assist from another free kick, this time from Hunter Meyers to give Rollins a 2-0 lead.

Early in the second half, momentum began to shift toward the Eagles. They were able to string passes together and find feet, making it difficult for the Tars to regain rhythm. Just eight minutes into the second half, Isabelle Navren chipped the ball into the box where it was headed into the back of the net by Savannah Sheahan. The Blue & Gold continued to fight, and just 33 seconds later, Navren served another great ball to Kaitlyn Kogl. Kogl powered a shot past the Tars' netminder for the first goal of her ERAU career, tying the game at 2-2.

Neither the Tars or the Eagles were able to capitalize on chances the remainder of the game.

The Eagles will close out the regular season on Oct. 25 when they face Florida Tech in Melbourne at Rick Stottler Stadium.
