2022-23 Schedule
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – History is in the making for the Embry-Riddle women's rowing team as head coach Dan Schenk revealed his program's first schedule since taking the reins back in December of 2021. The most important detail within the 2022-23 schedule is the inclusion of a home dual, which would be a first for the program.

For the third time in four years, the Blue and Gold are going back to the prestigious Head of the Charles in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Oct. 23 with an entry in the 36-boat Collegiate Fours event. After rowing down the Charles River, ERAU returns to Florida for a battle with Jacksonville the following weekend (Oct. 29).

The Eagles cap off their fall schedule with the annual Head of the South (Nov. 12) held on the Savannah River in Augusta, Georgia.

After nearly a four-month break, Embry-Riddle emerges from the winter for a meeting at Rollins on March 4 to begin five consecutive weekends of racing for the squad. On March 11, the Eagles travel south to take on Barry but return to Volusia County for the DeLand Double Duals (March 18) hosted by Stetson.

March 25 is the date for Embry-Riddles' lone home dual on the schedule as the Eagles face Barry for the second time in two weeks. All races will be held on the Halifax River at the Halifax Rowing Association located at 201 Jackie Robinson Parkway in Daytona Beach.

"We're excited to race Barry on our home water this spring," said head coach Schenk. "It's a big opportunity for us to bring the excitement of our sport to our hometown and show our students, faculty, and community the speed of Embry-Riddle rowing."

Championship season begins on April 1 with the Florida Intercollegiate Rowing Association (FIRA) Championships held at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida. ERAU will look to make it three-straight FIRA titles after capturing the crown in 2020 and 2021.

The Eagles will have their first week off in over a month to prepare for the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Championships in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, on April 14 and 15. Last season, the ERAU Varsity 4 boat grabbed a bronze medal and bested the 2021 national champions Central Oklahoma.

Nathan Benderson Park is once again the host site for the Sunshine State Conference Championship on April 28. Embry-Riddle will try to repeat as champions after winning the conference title for the first time in program history last year.

The oars continue to churn in May with the Dad Vail Regatta (May 12-13) in Philadelphia. Last season, the Eagles' Varsity 4 vessel picked up a gold medal at the regatta and set a program-record time of 7:19.911.

Should ERAU receive one of the six bids available, the Eagles will head to Pennsauken, New Jersey, for the NCAA Division II National Championship from May 26-27.
