BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle volleyball team fell in straight sets (9-25, 19-25, 16-25) to Lynn on the Fighting Knights' home court on Saturday. The Eagles drop to 10-7 on the season and 4-5 in Sunshine State Conference play, while Lynn (RV), currently third in the SSC standings, improves to 12-3 overall and 7-2 in conference play.

Cameron Gilleland's output, while Dana Gibons came off the bench to hit .571 with a season-best four kills and two solo blocks.
After the Fighting Knights dominated the Eagles 25-9 in the first set behind a .423 hitting percentage, the Blue and Gold played the home team much closer in the second. The Eagles fell behind 8-2 early in the frame but rallied to make it a two-point game at 20-18. However, Lynn was able to hold off ERAU late, going on a 6-1 run to end the set and go up 2-0 with 25-19 win in the second.
The third set saw the hosts jump out to a 6-0 lead, and while the Eagles were able to narrow the gap to three (6-3), that was as close as they would get as the Fighting Knights wrapped up the three-set victory with a 25-16 win in the final frame.
The Eagles will step away from conference play to take part in the South Region Crossover hosted by the Gulf South Conference, Oct. 14-15.
