Baseball Drops Saturday Contest at AUM, 13-3

MONTGOMERY, Alabama - Not much went right for the Embry-Riddle baseball team on Saturday as the Eagles (1-4) dropped game two of their three-game series at Auburn Montgomery, 13-3. The Warhawks (3-3) scored multiple runs in five of their eight offensive innings, cruising to the double-digit victory.

ERAU's defense struggled on the day, committing three errors, while the offense left 10 men on base.

Kevin Vittoria hit his first career home run in the seventh inning, he finished with two hits on the day. Zach Coldsnow also collected a pair of hits, while Alex Britton had ERAU's only other RBI.

Embry-Riddle cycled through five pitchers against AUM, with the hosts going for 12 hits.

Embry-Riddle actually scored first with a single run in the second, but the Warhawks responded with eight unanswered over the next three innings, taking a commanding 8-1 lead. Vittoria's two-run home run in the seventh brought the Blue and Gold within five runs, but once again the home team had an answer, scoring five more times for the 13-3 final.

The Eagles and Warhawks conclude their series tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. (ET) | 12 p.m. (CT).
