DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's tennis team earned its fifth shutout of the season on Monday. The Eagles clinched the doubles point and surrendered just seven games in three singles matches to top Indiana (Pa.) 4-0 at the Crotty Tennis Complex. The Eagles are now 8-5 in dual match play, while IUP drops to 5-4.

Playing a clinch-clinch format, the Eagles won two of three doubles to claim the doubles point. Julia Mautner and Sabrina Ehrenfort notched the first Eagle win of the day with a 6-1 defeat of Lydia Vlachou and Laura Duranova at the third position. Less than a minute later, Itxaso Blanco and Carla Cabrero del Hierro rallied from a 3-4 deficit to top 25th-ranked Joanna Stralka and Natasha Mundy 6-3 to put the Eagles up 1-0.

Playing at the top spot, 39th-ranked Blanco wasted little time in knocking off Stralka, blanking the Hawks' top-flight player 6-0, 6-0. The Eagles' next point came from Mautner who notched her seventh straight singles victory by downing Dunarova 6-0, 6-1 on court six.

The clincher came from Ehrenfort playing at No. 4 for the Blue and Gold. She bested Katy Graydon in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4 to seal the victory for ERAU.

The Eagles' next match will be a 11 a.m. on Tuesday against Eastern Florida State College at the Crotty Tennis Complex.
