DAYTONA BEACH, Florida - The Embry-Riddle baseball team erupted for 17 runs and 19 hits on Wednesday night against visiting Davenport, earning their third straight win at Sliwa Stadium, 17-4 in a mercy-shortened seven-inning contest. The Eagles (3-11) scored the games' first 12 runs, including five runs in the first inning and five more in the third, while the Panthers (6-7) struggled on the mound throughout the night.
Zach Coldsnow led the Eaglee offensive onslaught, finishing 3-for-3 with 5 RBIs and one of ERAU's three triples in the game, marking the second-most team triples in a single game in program history.
Robert Post also went 3-for-3, while
Andrew Martinez finished 3-for-4 with a long ball to his name.Â
The Eagles loaded the bases in the first via three straight walks, and after Post wore a pitch to drive in the game's first run, Coldsnow singled through the right side to score two more.
Max Law plated the fourth run of the frame, and later scored on a wild pitch.
John Barone got the start for the Eagles and cruised through the first three innings, facing the minimum, while his offense continued to add to their lead. Coldsnow tripled in two more runs in the second, and Martinez began the third with a solo home run to deep right center.

Alex Britton, and
Jeremy Kennedy-Davis also collected RBIs in the inning before Coldsnow collected his fifth RBI of the contest to make it 12-0.
Daniel Trillo hit a two-run triple in the fourth, and Post added an RBI double in the inning, as the Eagles led it 15-1. The final two runs of the day came in the sixth when
Tyler Castelli brough in
Garrett Bogart with a single and then later scored on an infield single from Martinez.
The Eagles continue their eight-game homestand on Friday with a doubleheader against Bridgeport beginning at 2 p.m.
