Women’s Soccer Secures Neutral Site Victory Over Findlay

WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's soccer team secured its second win of the 2022 season on the road with a 2-1 defeat of Findlay on Saturday afternoon at the Barker Family Stadium on the campus of Rollins. With the win, the Eagles improve to 2-0-0, while the Oilers fall to 0-1-1.
 
The Eagles came out of the gates ready to play. Just five minutes into the match, junior Marie Myhrvold Seim was able to slot the ball on the ground into the bottom left corner, giving the Blue an Gold an early lead. The Eagles continued to dominate possession in the first 45 minutes, ending the half with nine shots on goal while Findlay had zero.
 
Just three minutes into the second half, sophomore Inga Agustsdottir scored the first goal of her ERAU career with an assist from freshman Matilda Taylor, giving the Eagles a 2-0 lead. In the 59th minute, Findlay's Payton Miller was able to score for the Oilers, narrowing the score to 2-1.
 
Both teams combined for a total of 19 shots at the end of 90 minutes, but ERAU held on to their 2-1 victory, giving them their second win of regular season play.
 
The Eagles will look to continue their success at home against Columbus State on Friday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium.
