DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Embry-Riddle men's soccer suffered a home loss on Saturday night, as the Nova Southeastern Sharks emerged victorious by a score of 3-1 at the Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium.
The Eagles (3-5-2, 0-5-1 Sunshine State Conference) fell behind 2-0 in the 24th minute, and the Sharks (5-4-2, 2-3-2 SSC) were able to hold on to the three points.
NSU took the lead in the middle of the first half, gaining a 1-0 lead off a 21st minute free kick.Â
Their lead was doubled shorty after, making the score 2-0 in the 24th minute.
ERAU cut the deficit in half just a minute and 15 seconds before halftime, as a Nova Southeastern own goal put the Eagles behind 2-1.
NSU generated all of the scoring chances in the first half, accumulating all four of the shots through the first 45 minutes of action.
Midway through the second half the Sharks were in front by two again, going up 3-1 on a 67th minute goal.
That was to be the final score, with Nova Southeastern gaining their second SSC win.
In total, NSU led in shots by a total of nine to two, while also having six of the game's seven shots on goal.

Embry-Riddle stays at home for another conference game, as they are set to take on the Florida Southern Mocs on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Kick off at the Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
