Personal Records Fall for Men’s Cross Country in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Nine personal records highlighted the Embry-Riddle men's cross country team's performance at the UAH Chargers Invitational on Saturday morning. The Blue and Gold finished in fourth place with 113 points behind Charleston (89 pts), Augusta (92 pts) and host Alabama-Huntsville (98 pts).
 
Tanner Rosolino continued his upward trajectory finishing as the Eagles' top runner for the fourth time in as many races. The senior crossed the line in fifth place overall in 24:24.3, which is the fastest 8K time of his career and is the 11th-fastest 8K time in Embry-Riddle history.
 
Brendon Shea was the next Eagle to cross the line, finishing in 12th place with a time of 24:37.3. Andrew Stowe was right behind Shea in 14th place, bettering the personal record he set a week ago with a time of 24:39.5. Nick Scarangelli's PR of 24:59.4 put him in 33rd place and Micah Blair (56th) rounded out the Eagles' top five with his personal-best time of 25:15.3.
 
Other Eagles with PRs included Ethan Stout (25:23.6), Brandon Santangelo (25:30.9), Simon Cole (26:01.7), Gavin Weinheimer (26:45.2), Ryan Musil (26.47.4), 
 
The Eagles will have two weeks to prepare for their next meet. The Blue and Gold will look to bring another conference title back to Daytona Beach when they compete in the 2023 Sunshine State Conference Cross Country Championships at Holloway Park in Lakeland on Oct. 21.
