| By:
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Eagles runners took full advantage of the John Hunt Park course which has historically played favorable for additions the Embry-Riddle record books. Saturday morning was no different as nine of the eleven runners set personal bests in the 8K, contributing to a fourth place team finish at the UAH Chargers Invitational.

The 40 team field featured some of the nations strongest programs headlined by No. 6 Lee (Tenn.), No. 16 Charleston (W.V), No. 17 Tampa, No. 20 Florida Southern, and No. 22 Anderson (S.C). Embry-Riddle, currently ranked No. 27 in the USTFCCCA Top 30, finished ahead of two teams ranked in the current top 25.

With a team time of 2:02:38, the Eagles recorded what is now the second fastest total time in school history. ERAU placed six runners in the top 100, two of which where in the top 10, and had only a 1:10.4 split between the first and fifth place finisher.

Head Coach Mike Rosolino had this to say about his team's performance today, "We had a great race and effort today, with 9 out of the 11 having their best day ever. Was happy with how we got out hard and held on to upset some higher ranked teams today. It was great preparation for the regional race".

Individually, Nicholas Scarangelli lead the way with a PR of 23:48.6 which was good enough for sixth overall in the event and the second-fastest time in school history. Additionally, Taye Newman's PR of 24:04.5 is now the third-fastest time in Embry-Riddle program history and placed him ninth in the event.
