JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Embry-Riddle women's rowing team wrapped up their fall slate on Saturday, winning one of the three races it competed in at Jacksonville University at the Negaard Rowing Center.
ERAU started with the 5k races, winning one of the two.

The Eagles started off in the Women's Varsity Eights at 11:30 a.m., with the boat of Shelby Ernst, Briella Goldenberg, Abby Webb, Kristen Vigna, Sofia Lorenzini. Alexandria Weilert, Soleil Edwards, Isidora Djurovic coming in third place out of six teams with a time of 20:06.1.
Then for the second race, Embry-Riddle captured first place in the Women's Varsity Fours, with a time of 23:02.4 by Alexandra Fife-Winslow, Danielle DelGrippo, Katie Burdick, Sofia Glaser and Courtney Louderback (coxswain), six seconds ahead of second-place Jacksonville and three to six minutes ahead of the rest of the six boats who competed in the event.
Then, they competed in the 1500m.

The first was the Women's Top Three Eight's, where Embry-Riddle finished third, seven seconds behind the winners Jacksonville.

The Eagles were set to compete in the Women's Varsity Four's race, but it was scratched.

Head coach Grant Maddock said that although the conditions weren't ideal, the fours still were great.
"Conditions were not good at all. It's something we are not really used to, and it got the best of us. It threw our mentality and race plans off. We are going to regroup and double down for winter now. The four's had a solid performance and finished first on both sides."
The Eagles will be back in action for the spring slate on Feb. 25, traveling to DeLand to face off against Stetson and Bates College at the Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center.
