Volleyball Suffers Heartbreaking 3-2 Loss to Top-Seeded Lynn in NCAA II Regional Semifinals

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Victory was in Embry-Riddle Volleyball's grasps. The Eagles were on the verge of recording the biggest upset in the program's NCAA II era, up two sets to one against top-seeded Lynn in the South Region semifinals and later ahead 17-16 in the fifth set. However, the Fighting Knights earned the No. 1 seed for a reason and were difficult to put away. In the end, ERAU came up just short, falling 19-17 in the fifth set. The loss sparked many emotions, and tears, as the 2024 season came to a close, and so did the collegiate careers of Jaden McBride, Hunter Ackermann and Constanza Silva.

  • However, Lynn followed with four consecutive points to push the deficit up to seven at 17-10.
  • Embry-Riddle mustered a late rally with four unanswered scores to make it a 21-17 set, but the Fighting Knights shut the door by claiming the final four points of the set.

Third Set
