Eagles face a Hard-Fought Defeat Against Flagler

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – In a challenging match on Tuesday evening, the Embry-Riddle men's soccer team fell short against Flagler College, suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat. Despite a valiant effort, the Eagles struggled to generate offensive momentum and could only fire one shot on target throughout the game.

The first half was marked by a slow pace, with neither team managing a shot in the opening 15 minutes. The Eagles' defense stood strong as Flagler controlled the midfield. As cracks started to form the Saints capitalized with the first shot from Phillip Jung resulting in a goal. In the 27th minute, a precise cross from Alex Alexandrou found Jung, who expertly controlled the ball with his chest before volleying it into the net with his right foot. Embry-Riddles' offense attempted to respond with four shots, but none managed to test Flagler's goalkeeper.

The second half saw a more dynamic approach from the Eagles, with Head Coach David Gregson rotating 21 of his 25 available players. The best chance for Embry-Riddle came when Sandro Henning's diving header was brilliantly saved by Ryan Rivas.

The Eagles hit the road on Friday to Mobile, Alabama where they take on Spring Hill University.
