LAKELAND, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's basketball team pulled out a come-from-behind victory in Sunshine State Conference play on Saturday, topping Florida Southern 66-62 on the road. The Eagles got a career-high performance from
Mary Lengemann who scored 19 points to lead the Eagles to a league-best sixth conference win of the season.

• The Eagles are ranked 16th in the latest WBCA Coaches' Poll and seventh in the most recent D2 CSC Media Poll.
• Lengemann was just one rebound short of a double-double.
• Anye' Staton dished out a career-best six assists.
• The Eagles struggled from beyond the arc in the first half, connecting on just one of their 10 attempts and were 6-of-24 in the game.
• The Eagles scored 18 points off 16 FSC turnovers and outscored the home team 32-26 in the paint.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
• Embry-Riddle scored the first three buckets of the game on the way to an 8-2 lead early.
• After owning the paint on their first three trips down the court, the Eagles struggled with the Moccasins' length in the latter part of the quarter, allowing FSC to close the gap to 14-13 at the end of the period.
• The Eagles were 7-of-18 from the field but scoreless from long range in the first 10 minutes of play.
Second Quarter
• Florida Southern overtook the Eagles courtesy of a three-pointer to start the second quarter.

Sarah Napoli scored the Eagles' only three of the first half to put ERAU up 21-18.
• The Moccasins answered with a 6-2 spurt to go ahead 24-23.
• Napoli scored the Eagles' next basket and both teams exchanged points leading to a 29-29 tie with 45 seconds left in the half.
• The Moccasins used almost the entire shot clock to set up their last score and earned a free throw to go up 32-29 at the half.
Third Quarter
• Teterycz hit the Eagles' second three of the game at the 8:05 mark of the third quarter to put the Eagles back in front 36-35.
• The third quarter featured two ties and four lead changes and at the 4:01 mark the score was tied a 43-43.
• The latter part of the third quarter saw the Eagles endure a four-and-a-half-minute scoring drought.
• During that stretch, the Moccasins, led by three treys from Bracero, went on an 11-0 run to go up by eight (51-43).
• The Eagles got a jumper from Staton and another three from Teterycz to cut the lead to three (51-48) heading into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter
• The Moccasins got five straight points from Gomes to reclaim an eight-point (56-48) advantage to start the fourth.
• Back-to-back threes by Jean-Louis and
Kailey Turpening made in a two-point (56-54) game at the 7:27 mark.
• Florida Southern was able to build the lead back up to five midway through the period, but mid-range jumpers from Jean-Louis and Lengemann cut the lead to 60-59.
• With 3:12 left to play, Teterycz scored in the paint to move the Eagles ahead 61-60.
• Jean-Louis and Teterycz combined to make it a three-point (65-62) game in favor of the Eagles.
• The Moccasins got the ball to Bracero for the three-point attempt, but she wasn't able to connect and Napoli grabbed the defensive rebound with 15 seconds remaining.
• Following an ERAU timeout to advance the ball, the Eagles were called for a foul in the backcourt, giving the ball back to Florida Southern with 12 seconds left.
• The Moccasins got another look at a three but it missed the mark and Staton, who grabbed the rebound, was fouled with one second left and made one of two free throws to seal the win.
