ERAU provides world-class care to student-athletes with latest partnership

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle Athletics and Palmer Chiropractic Clinics have partnered together to enhance the student-athlete experience with a world-class collaboration effort of Palmer's Sports Outreach Program.

For years, Palmer Chiropractic Clinics have provided care to Embry-Riddle students and student athletes. This new collaboration with Embry-Riddle Athletics brings Palmer's Sports Outreach Program directly to ERAU's athletic department, providing greater accessibility and continuity of care for student athletes.

"We're genuinely excited to work more closely with Embry-Riddle Athletics," said Heather Bowyer, D.C., Palmer College Dean of Clinics. "By bringing care directly to athletes, we're improving access and enhancing outcomes."

"This collaboration is an extension of our commitment to student-athlete wellness and reflects Palmer's ongoing mission to serve communities through excellence in chiropractic care, education and outreach -- especially in high-performance environments like collegiate athletics," Bowyer added.

Adam Sergent, D.C., M.S., DACBSP, DACRB will lead this initiative alongside senior chiropractic student interns. Dr. Sergent has a rich history working with athletes and is dual certified by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians and the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board.

"Already our students have greatly appreciated this collaboration, and we are seeing the positive impacts this has on our sports medicine efforts," Associate Athletic Director for Health and Sport Performance Rex Sharp stated. "We're thrilled to help offer our student-athletes the best possible care and Palmer has been second to none in this venture."
