NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Embry-Riddle men's basketball gutted out a gritty 73-67 win against Morehouse on Saturday night as the Eagles opened the 2025-26 campaign in Nashville, Tennessee at the Robert Garrett Classic hosted by Trevecca Nazarene.
With five players in double-digit scoring, Embry-Riddle paced the Maroon Tigers from beyond-the-arc with 11 three-pointers in Saturday's nightcap in the Music City. Hot-handed Dawson Bar and Nashville native,
Braeden Moore lifted ERAU with a combined eight treys to lead the way to victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
- After roughly two minutes of scoreless action to open the game, Morehouse led with a 12-2 run going 5-for-9 from the field in a four-minute span.
- Dawson Barr took control of the scoring early for Embry-Riddle, scoring seven unanswered in the following moments to cut the deficit to three points.
- Embry-Riddle followed up with a 14-7 run, shooting 4-of-6 from three.
- Chalier Torres knocked down a pair of long-range jumpers, capturing a 20-19 lead at the 9:40 mark.
- The Eagles' run continued with a trey from Moore and a jumper from Jared Berry to lead 25-19 with less than nine minutes to play.
- Over the next couple of minutes, both teams battled with a 9-9 stretch of scoring as the Eagles came out holding a 34-28 edge.

- Embry-Riddle returned with a small 9-5 run over the following few minutes, leading 52-51 with 10 minutes to play.

- To close the game, Embry-Riddle took advantage of 17-4 run which included 3-of-4 shooting from three and a spotless 8-for-8 from the foul line.
- Moore led with six points down the stretch, scoring huge buckets to chip away at the Morehouse lead which included a trey at the 3:09 mark to pull the Eagles to a one-point deficit.
- Barr's three-pointer at the 1:51 mark leveled the game at 67-67 and flipped the momentum in favor of the Eagles.
