TAMPA, Fla. – On February 12,
Madyson Jean-Louis scored a career-high 22 points against Tampa. Three days later, the senior eclipsed that mark with a 27-point performance to lead the 11th-ranked Embry-Riddle women's basketball team to a 56-52 road win over No. 19 Tampa. Jean-Louis is now second on Embry-Riddle's all-time scoring list.
With Saturday's Sunshine State Conference victory, the Eagles set a program single-season record for overall wins (21) and wins in conference play (15).

• The Eagles are 11th in the latest WBCA Coaches' Poll and eighth in the most recent D2 CSC Media Poll.
• Tampa is ranked 19th in both polls
• Saturday's win marked the first time since 2016-17 have won two meetings against the Spartans in the same season.
• The Eagles outrebounded the Spartans 36-27.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
• Tampa opened the game with a trey from Rodriguez and led by five (5-0) early in the first quarter.
• The Eagles steadily worked their way back to tie the score at 8-8 with 3:29 left in the quarter.
• The Spartans were able to build their lead back up to five before closing out the period with a three-point advantage (14-11).
Second Quarter
• Jean-Louis bested the Spartans by herself in the first half of the second frame, outscoring the home team 10-3 to give the Eagles a 21-17 lead at the 6:04 mark.
• The Eagles were perfect from the free throw line in the second quarter with Jean-Louis going 3-for-3 and Napoli going 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
• Embry-Riddle built a six-point lead (23-17), but a 7-0 run put Tampa back ahead (24-23) with 3:45 left in the half.
• The teams traded baskets through the remainder of the quarter and at the half, Tampa led 28-27.
Third Quarter
• The Spartans hit three three-pointers in a row to make it a six-point (37-31) game less than three minutes into the third.
• After going 1-for-10 from beyond the arc in the first half, the Eagles drained four threes in the last four minutes of the third to take a 43-37 lead into the final period.
Fourth Quarter
• Satchell made it an eight-point (45-37) game with a put-back to start the fourth.
• The Spartans put together an 11-2 run to take over the lead at 48-47 with 3:36 left to play.
• Both teams traded baskets until Napoli hit a jumper to put the Blue & Gold back on top, 51-50, with 2:27 left to play.
• Jean-Louis who finished the game at 6-for-7 from the charity stripe, hit back-to-back free throws to increase the advantage to 53-50.

Chandler Brooks came up with a steal on the next Tampa possession and Teterycz finished the play to widen the gap to five (55-50) with 50 seconds remaining.
• Tampa converted on a layup to pull within three, and had possession with 21 seconds left in the contest, but their three-point attempt missed the mark and Napoli grabbed the rebound and sank a free throw after being fouled to secure the Eagles' sweep of the Spartans.
