Men’s Basketball Hangs on Against RV Lynn

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Embry-Riddle men's basketball team staved off a second-half charge from visiting RV Lynn to defeat the Fighting Knights 88-86 inside the ICI Center. The Eagles got revenge on Lynn after falling 96-63 earlier this season in Boca Raton, Florida. It was ERAU's fourth win in a row. Much of the team's success could be once again attributed to its dominance on the boards as Embry-Riddle grabbed 54 rebounds compared to just 37 for the Fighting Knights.

Second Half

  • The lead shrunk down to nine over the next two minutes as the Fighting Knights scored 10 consecutive points.
  • An 8-0 spurt by the visitors later in the half reduced ERAU's advantage to three (60-57) at the halfway point of the period.
  • Clarens Pierre produced two monster blocks in the span of a minute to help the Blue and Gold stay in front by five (8:05).
