DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The No. 9/7 Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse team dominated its home opener on Thursday, securing an 18-5 victory over Lee University. The Eagles showcased strong offense with three players recording hat tricks and 10 different goal scorers. Meanwhile, the Blue & Gold defense put out the Lady Flames, limiting them to just five goals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
- The opening goal came just four minutes into the game as Natalie Jansky found the net on a man-up opportunity with an assist from Kenley Zeruto.
- Zeruto then wasted no time, scoring herself 20 seconds later to double the lead.
- The Eagles continued to roll with three more goals from three different players, while their defense held Lee to only one goal. Embry-Riddle finished the quarter with a comfortable 5-1 lead.
Second Quarter
- Embry-Riddle's offense surged with five more goals in the second quarter, pushing the lead to double digits. Lee countered with three goals of their own.
- Ava Rogala got the quarter started with a man-down goal, assisted once again by Zeruto.
- Lee responded with a brief three-goal spurt, but Eliana Enners shut that down with a timely goal to keep the Eagles in control.
- The quarter ended with the Eagles ahead 10-4.
Third Quarter
- The Eagles maintained their defensive dominance in the third quarter, holding Lee scoreless while adding five more goals to their tally.
- Callison Foreman and Samantha Reich each netted two goals, while Caitlin Gavin scored her first of the game.
- With another impressive quarter, the Eagles extended their lead to 15-4 heading into the final period.
Fourth Quarter
- Embry-Riddle finished strong in the fourth quarter, adding three more goals to their win.
- The defense continued to shine, winning seven ground balls and holding Lee to just one shot/goal in the period.
- The final goal of the game came from Allison Cimaglia, who scored off a record-setting assist from Zeruto, completing the 18-5 victory for the Eagles.
