Ten Eagles Receive SSC Weekly Awards

MELBOURNE, Fla. - Embry-Riddle Athletics once again saw its student-athletes win multiple Sunshine State Conference weekly honors on Monday as baseball's Max Kops was named the Player of the Week while women's rowing's varsity eight was tabbed the Boat of the Week. 

Kops earned his second SSC weekly honor after leading the Eagles to five wins last week. Kops batted .522 with 11 RBI and 10 runs scored. He totaled three doubles, a triple, and hit a home run in four of the five games to finish with a 1.261 slugging percentage.
 
For the third-straight week, No. 3 Embry-Riddle Women's Rowing earned Boat of the Week honors after the Eagles' varsity eight shell won at the Stetson showdown, beating NCAA II foes Jacksonville and Stetson as well as No. 7 Rollins, Nova Southeastern, and NCAA III No. 2 Wesleyan.
 
The boat of Jolee Paulk (Cox), Shelby Ernst, Emily Retty, Sarah Kinlocke, Aria Moses, Abby Webb, Lily Burdick, Soleil Edwards and Alexandra Weilert finished with a time of 6:35.9 to win by almost six seconds. It's the second time this season the Eagles' V8+ won a weekly award.
