GREENWOOD, Ind. - Two members of Embry-Riddle Men's Basketball received College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors on Tuesday. Dawson Barr and Jack Klinger both earned the distinction for the first time in their careers. They become the 10th and 11th Eagles in program history to receive the award.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. In order to be eligible for CSC All-District honors, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, compete in at least 90 percent of the team's games or start at least 66 percent of the team's contests, and be a sophomore or higher athletically and academically. In addition to this, programs are limited to four nominations.

Barr played in all 29 games and moved into a starting role for the final 11 contests. The Orlando, Florida native averaged 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while maintaining the third-best assist-to-turnover ratio on the team (1.46).

Barr has a perfect 4.0 GPA and is majoring in business administration.

Like Barr, Klinger also saw action in all 29 games and earned a starting spot late in the season, with five of his seven starts coming in the final five games of the year. The sophomore saw an uptick in production across the board during his second season, posting 4.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 0.6 blocks per game. Klinger was efficient from the floor with a field goal percentage of .563.

Klinger is a business administration major with a 3.83 cumulative GPA.
