Eagles Remain Undefeated at Home with 5-1 Win Over SVSU

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.-  The No.3 Embry-Riddle women's tennis team start a four-match week with a 5-2 win over Saginaw Valley State at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Jessica Christa Wira Hadipoernomo and Charly Egger dominated the match from the first serve at No.3 doubles against Adriana Barrio and Amelia Dickson, winning 6-0.
  • The doubles point was secured when Benedetta Sensi and Maissane Aik (No.2) took down Lydia Liong and Elizabeth Stuart 6-3.
  • Laura Cuesta Bret and Carla Cabero del Hierro came from behind to defeat Adriana Barrio and Amelia Dickson 6-4 at No.1.
  • Wira Hadipoernomo carried on her dominating fashion with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Dickson at No.2.
  • Sensi lost just one game against Liong at No.3 winning 6-1, 6-0.
  • Mariana Cabrera came in for singles and clinched the match for the first time as an Eagle, defeating Ana Diamantopoulos 6-4, 6-2 at No.6.
  • Franziska Kremerskothen won the final point of the day with a close two-set match. She ultimately came out on top, 6-4, 7-6(4) against Nic Diamantopoulos at No.4.
