ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A lone run in the bottom of the fifth inning was the difference in a midweek game between the Embry-Riddle and Flagler baseball teams on Tuesday. Flagler had 10 hits, but only sent one across to edge the Eagles 1-0 and even the 2025 edition of the Embry-Riddle/Flagler series at 1-1.
Robert Post was solid at the plate in the Eagle effort, going 4-for-4.
Gunnar Harrison entered the game in relief in the fourth inning and struck out six of the 12 batters he faced, but took the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Eagles earned two walks and got a single from Post to load the bases in the second, but Flagler starter Eli Roberts got one of his nine strikeouts to end the threat.
• With two out and two runners on for the Saints, Eli Maddox hit a ball that hit ERAU starter
Bailey Russell, but Russell was able to recover and get the out on a close play at first to end the inning.
• After a fielding error put the leadoff batter on in the fifth, the Saints used a single and two wild pitches to score their only run of the game.
• The Eagles put a runner on in each of the last three innings, but were unable to convert.

The Eagles return to conference play this weekend with a three-game series against Lynn, beginning with a single game at 6 p.m. on Friday at Sliwa Stadium.
