Men’s Basketball Adds Moore, Montanari

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's basketball team announced the addition of Braeden Moore and Evan Montanari to the Eagles' 2025-26 roster on Monday.
 
Moore (Nashville, Tenn.) began his collegiate career at Brigham Young and then transferred to NCAA I Oral Roberts where he played in 27 games in two seasons in Tulsa, shooting .429 from the field and .389 from long range. The 6-7 forward played high school basketball at Christ Presbyterian Academy where he earned multiple all-district and all-region honors. He led the Lions to the state finals as a junior and was a Tennessee Mr. Basketball runner-up, finishing his high school career as a 2,000-point scorer.
 
Montanari is a 6-2 guard and a Denver, North Carolina native that spent two seasons at East Carolina University. After seeing limited minutes in five games as a freshman for the Pirates, he redshirted in 2024-25. Montanari played prep basketball at Gaston Day School, leading the Spartans to three conference titles and two state final four appearances. He was an all-state and three-time all-conference honoree who averaged 20 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals per game as a senior. He holds the program (103) and single-game (9) records for made three-pointers and has a career-best 38-point game to his credit.
 
Moore and Montanari will join an Eagle program that was 17-12 in 2024-25 and fourth in the final Sunshine State Conference regular season standings.
