Soaked First Day of Jay Jennison Cup Delays Play; Men’s Golf’s Second Round Suspended

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Inclement weather impacted Embry-Riddle Men's Golf's season-opening tournament, the Jay Jennison Cup. Monday's action included showers throughout the day as Tropical Storm Imelda slowly spun in the Atlantic Ocean off of Florida's east coast.

After an hour of action, storms paused play for three hours until conditions cleared up around noon. The delay eventually led to the postponement of round two due to darkness until Tuesday morning. The Eagles have between 6-8 holes left to play in the round and are currently in a tie for sixth at four over par. Aleksandar Abrashev is in an excellent spot as the senior is tied for fourth at three under par.
