Miles, Nayap, Roth Highlight the Second Meet of the Season

Gainesville, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's track and field team turned in a strong showing at the ACSEC Invite & Multi, posting seven top-five finishes and breaking two school records. The Blue and Gold rewrote program history in the long jump, breaking an indoor record that had stood for 18 years, while several athletes achieved NCAA Division II provisional standards.

Highlight Performances:

  • Mikaela Miles – Soared to a school-record 5.74 meters in the long jump, placing second at the meet and securing a NCAA Division II provisional standard.

  • Jade Nayap – Cleared 1.67 meters in the high jump, setting a new school record and winning the event. Her mark also meets the NCAA Division II provisional standard and ranks tied for 25th nationally.

  • Taylor Roth – Ran a strong 2:12.73 in the 800m to take second place, hitting the NCAA Division II provisional standard, currently ranking in the top 15 nationally, and finished fourth in the mile.

  • Kailey Ludwig, Alexandra Baltazar Hall, Anna Engelman, Liora C. Best, and Kirsten Rolle – All posted top-five finishes in their respective events (pole vault, shot put, pole vault, 400m, and weight throw).

Up Next: The Eagles will continue their season-long campaign Jan. 31–Feb. 1 in Gainesville at the Legends of Alachua County.
