DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle men's basketball put together a dominant Sunshine State Conference result against Eckerd on Saturday evening, defeating the Tritons 99-73 inside the ICI Center.
The Eagles jumped out early and never looked back, pouring in 56 first-half points and maintaining control throughout the contest to open the New Year in convincing fashion.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
- The Eagles jumped out to an early advantage, taking the first four and a half minutes to build a 16-4 lead after utilizing a balanced attack.
- Three-pointers from Logan Lewis and Dawson Barr highlighted the opening stretch while ERAU added six more points inside the paint.
- A few minutes later, Embry-Riddle stretched the lead to 24-9 as three-pointers from Braeden Moore and Evan Montanari capped off the run.
- The Eagles finished the half shooting 50% from the field which included eight made three-pointers to lead 56-37 at the break.
- Moore led the scoring efforts with 14 points, shooting 4-for-8 from beyond the arc followed by 12 points from Barr.
- Jared Berry dished out six assists in 17 minutes of action.
Second Half
- Berry opened the half with five unanswered points for ERAU, boosting the Eagles to a 24-point edge.
- The Eagles remained consistent in the second half with another 50% from the field with Barr adding another 11 points to lead the offensive efforts.
- As a team, Embry-Riddle controlled the half with a 43-36 outing with 21 points coming from long-range jumpers.
- Jack Klinger highlighted the half with a pristine 4-of-4 mark from the field.

- Embry-Riddle finished shooting 50% (34-of-68) from the field, 42.9% (15-of-35) from three-point, and 80% (16-of-20) from the foul line.
- Five Eagles finished in double figures with Barr leading all scorers with 23 points which included five three-pointers.
- Moore finished with 17 on the night while Berry chipped in 13 points and eight assists.
- Embry-Riddle's defense produced seven steals on 11 Eckerd turnovers, scoring 17 points off the miscues.
