Embry-Riddle Drops Home-Opener to North Georgia

Eagles fall short in 2-0 loss to Nighthawks

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle baseball dusted off the cleats and welcomed the North Georgia Nighthawks to Sliwa Stadium for the first time in over 20 years. It was a pitchers duel between starters Aidan Marsiglio and Matthew Heard, but ultimately the Nighthawks' lone two runs earned them the win.

Freshman right-handed pitcher Marsiglio went four-innings in his first collegiate appearance, surrendering two runs and five hits while striking out six. Ben McIntire, Bailey Russell, and Isaiah Eberheart combined for five scoreless innings in relief with McIntire striking out two and not surrendering a single hit.

Labbette Community College transfer Francisco Feliciano led the Blue and Gold with two hits on the day. Aiden Schmidt, Aidan Corn, and Cole Bullen also registered one hit apiece.
