Embry-Riddle falls in home-opener series to North Georgia

Embry-Riddle drops game two of the series to North Georgia in 11-10 loss

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Eagles battled hard against the Nighthawks, and the weather with wind gusts reaching 20 mph and dropping the temperature by 15 degrees. Despite the chilly weather at Sliwa Stadium, the bats were red hot in the park with four home-runs and 21 total runs scored.

Embry-Riddle jumped out to an early lead, putting up at least one run in the first three innings. However, a grand-slam in the top of the fourth put North Georgia in the lead which they managed to sustain for the remainder of the game. Embry-Riddle did not go down quietly, however, as the batters continued to fight back from the plate.
