Gainesville, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's track and field team delivered an impressive showing at the Legends of Alachua County Invitational, recording 13 top-five finishes, four NCAA Division II provisional marks, and two school records. With one final tune-up remaining before postseason action, the Eagles continue to show they are poised to defend their Peach Belt Conference Indoor Championship in the coming weeks.
Highlight Performances:
  • Cristina Soto continued her standout freshman campaign, setting a new Embry-Riddle school record in the 5,000m with a time of 17:42.52 while finishing fourth overall.
  • Mikaela Miles added another entry to the record book, clearing 5.77m in the long jump to break her own school record for the second consecutive week after the previous mark had stood for 18 years.
  • The Eagles' 800m group made a statement as Taylor Roth, Allegra Triner, and Laura McBride swept the top three positions, running 2:12.54, 2:12.73, and 2:13.55, respectively.
