No. 15 Men’s Tennis Downs No. 2-Ranked Valdosta in 5-2 Road Victory

VALDOSTA, Ga.  – The No. 15-ranked Embry-Riddle men's tennis team delivered a strong performance on the road on Saturday afternoon, traveling to the Peach State to challenge the defending national champions and No. 2-ranked Valdosta State in Valdosta, Ga.
 
The Eagles swept the doubles point and took four of the six matches in singles to earn a decisive 5-2 victory against the Blazers.

  • The Eagles opened confidently in doubles, sweeping all three courts for the first team point.
  • Mason Cisco and Manuel Lanteri pair up on court three, finishing with a 6-2 win over Yohann Meunier and Wilson Igbinovia to set the tone.
  • Joao Morgado and Joshua Nuyts downed Julien Doitteau and Emile Delporte 6-2 on court two to seal the doubles point.
  • The duo of Marc Mail and Enrico Rosellini rounded out doubles with a 6-4 win on the first court.
  • In singles, court five finished first as Morgado went 6-1, 6-3 against Meunier to move ERAU's lead to 2-0.
  • No. 15-ranked Rosellini followed up with a 6-2, 6-4 decision over No. 42 Phillip Bosse for the 3-0 edge at court two.

  • The rest of the matches would be played out as No. 24 Doitteau defeated No. 25 Mail 6-2, 6-3 on court one to make it 4-2.
  • ERAU finished the match with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) win on court six as Frederic Tu beat out Pietro Casciola.
