Allegra Triner, and
Laura McBride made the most of one of the nation's premier indoor meets Saturday at the David Hemery Invitational, hosted by Boston University.
Competing in a loaded 800-meter field featuring 187 athletes, the trio set out to improve their NCAA Division II provisional marks and delivered. Triner and McBride each recorded personal bests, while Roth posted a indoor-best performance in a strong showing across the board.
Results
- Roth clocked a 2:08.84, a season best and indoor personal best. Her time ranks No. 9 in NCAA Division II this season, and she placed 15th overall. Roth becomes the fourth Embry-Riddle athlete to break 2:10 indoors in the 800 meters.
- Triner crossed in 2:09.22, becoming the fifth Eagle to dip under 2:10 indoors. Her mark ranks No. 14 in NCAA Division II, and she finished 19th overall.
- McBride ran 2:12.13 to finish third in her heat, securing a personal best and placing 44th overall.
