Five Eagles Earn Weekly Conference Honors

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - A total of five individual Embry-Riddle student-athletes were honored on Monday for their performances over the last week. Three earned Sunshine State Conference honors while two were honored by the Peach Belt Conference.

Men's Lacrosse

Reid Kerr was named the SSC Defensive Player of the Week after earning a pair of wins over Montevallo and Alabama-Huntsville. Kerr's record-breaking performance in Friday's win included him making 14 saves against Montevallo and added seven more against the Chargers. The senior's .778 save percentage against the Falcons was the best single-game mark in program history, and the four goals allowed tied the program record for fewest goals given up in a game. This is the second time in Kerr's career that he has been named SSC Defensive Player of the Week. He was also named Player of the Week last season on February 10, 2025.

Women's Lacrosse

Ella-Rae Cox started the season with a great performance in the win against No. 25 Alabama-Huntsville. The junior goalkeeper made 11 saves, picked up five ground balls, and had a caused turnover in the 11-7 win over the Chargers. After picking up the win this weekend, Cox has got a 19-3 record as an Eagle. She has now been named SSC Player of the Week on two occassions in her career, with her other honor coming on February 3, 2025.

Men's Tennis

Marc Mail led the No. 15-ranked Eagles to a 2-1 record to open the 2026 season. Mail went 3-0 on the week at No. 1 singles and went 2-1 at the first line of doubles with partner Enrico Rosellini. The junior from Germany opened with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over St. Thomas' Mariano Hasenhkopf and followed up with a 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6) win over PBA's Milan Visontai. Mail then closed the week with a big win against Riccardo Trione of No. 1-ranked Barry with back-to-back 6-4 sets.

In doubles play, Mail partnered with Rosellini and picked up a 7-6 (8-6) win against St. Thomas' duo on court one and closed out the week with a win over Simone Cavalleri and Trione of Barry, winning 6-4 to help gather the doubles point in the tight 4-3 loss to the No. 1-ranked Buccaneers.

Across all matches during 2025-26, Mail is 9-2 overall in singles play and 9-4 in doubles.

Women's Track & Field

Kailey Ludwig earned her first Peach Belt Conference honor following a standout performance in the pole vault at the Visit Gainesville Indoor Classic. Ludwig cleared a height of 3.75 meters, setting a new Embry-Riddle program record while also breaking the Peach Belt Conference record. Her mark met the NCAA Division II Provisional Standard.

Men's Track & Field

Antonio Caito collected his second Peach Belt Conference honor of the season after winning the triple jump at the Visit Gainesville Indoor Classic with a mark of 15.51 meters. While not a personal best, the jump sits nearly a meter above the NCAA Division II Provisional Standard and would rank sixth nationally if not for Caito already holding the No. 3 spot in Division II with his season-best mark of 15.60 meters.
