DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle softball hosted Adelphi (N.Y.) on Tuesday evening for a non-conference doubleheader.
The Eagles took game one 5-0 and followed with a 10-inning walk-off victory in game two, winning 3-2 over the Panthers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Defensively, Olivia Dougherty and company held strong throughout the game by limiting the Panthers to just one hit across seven innings of play.
- Through three innings, Dougherty struck out five batters and walked one to keep Adelphi away.
- Embry-Riddle struck first in the bottom of the third inning with a leadoff double from Sierra Lipton opening the frame.
- Lipton eventually came home on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Leah Oberkehr to give ERAU the 1-0 advantage.
- The Eagles added another to the tally in the fourth, as Vanessa Gilbert stole home after reaching on a single.
- With a two-run lead, ERAU pieced together a leadoff triple from Emma Wood and an RBI double from Oberkehr to start the bottom of the fifth.
- A successful bunt from Kendall Wilkie scored Oberkehr for the second run of the inning before an Addison Orr double drove in another score for a five-run Eagle edge.

- Dougherty pitched a complete game and struck out seven batters while walking just three in a complete game effort.
- Embry-Riddle held a commanding 7-1 lead in hits, batting .280 for the game (7-of-25).
- Oberkehr led the way with two hits and a pair of RBI while four Eagles recorded an extra-base hit.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Game two unfolded differently for both teams as seven innings of regulation play would not be enough to determine a winner.
- Three scoreless innings passed before Adelphi struck first in the fourth inning.
- The Panthers opened with a leadoff single, a sacrifice bunt, and an error to plate a run.
- In the bottom half of the inning, ERAU scored Wilkie on a sacrifice fly from Morse to tie the game.
- Both teams were held scoreless in the fifth before Adelphi reclaimed the lead in the top of the sixth.
- Adelphi recorded a pair of singles and scored on an error from center field to take a 2-1 lead.
- Embry-Riddle answered in the seventh inning with a one-out RBI double from Wood to level the game and force extra innings.
- Both teams rolled through the eighth and ninth frames before Embry-Riddle found a spark in the bottom of the 10th.
- Wilkie singled down the right-field line to spark the inning, moving to scoring position with a stolen base at second.
- Mattea Martin walked and was followed with a ground out from Orr to shift the runners over.
- Gilbert reached on a fielder's choice while Wilkie was called out at home.
- Morse delivered the game-winning hit on the second pitch of the at-bat down the right-field line to score Martin and win the game, 3-2.
