DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle softball continued its weekend series against Rollins with a Saturday afternoon doubleheader in Daytona Beach.
The Eagles fell 6-4 in game one and picked up the first Sunshine State Conference win of the season with a 3-2 walk-off in the series finale.

Game 1 | Embry-Riddle – 4, Rollins 6
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Embry-Riddle struck first in the opening inning, plating a run without a hit as Leah Oberkehr and Kendall Wilkie both walked to place runners on.
- Rollins answered with a six-hit effort in the third inning, plating five runs and leaving a pair stranded.
- After scoreless affairs in the fourth and fifth frames, Wilkie doubled and advanced to third on a Mattea Martin single to right field.
- Despite a runner caught out advancing to home, ERAU managed to push two home with a Vanessa Gilbert single to cut the deficit to two runs.
- Rollins added a run in the seventh inning to extend the lead to 6-3, scoring on a sacrifice hit.
- The Eagles closed with a three-hit performance in the bottom of the seventh with Shelby Morse, Oberkehr and Emma Wood recording singles.
- Wilkie drove in one run with a sacrifice flyout to finish the game with ERAU falling 6-4.

- Rollins led 8-7 in hits with seven individuals recording hits for the Eagles.
- Wilkie led ERAU with a hit, a walk, and an RBI.
- Oberkehr racked up three stolen bases with Wilkie snagging one.
- Ava Domenici opened with 3.0 innings worth of work, striking out one batter while allowing five earned runs on six hits.
- Aubrey Yeary and Shelby Morse both pitched for 2.0 innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles notched singles from Wood and Morse in the first frame but were left scoreless.
- After three scoreless innings and five strikeouts from Olivia Dougherty, Embry-Riddle scored the first two runs of the game in the fourth.
- Wilkie got things started with a single up the middle and stole second to provide a scoring threat.
- Wood singled and pushed Wilkie to third before a fielder's choice from Morse would load the bases.
- ERAU plated two thanks to an error from the Tars, taking a two-run lead.
- Two more scoreless innings would pass before Rollins tied the game with a ground-rule double.
- Wilkie came up clutch for Embry-Riddle, walking-off with a two-out RBI single to score Ava Arnold for the 3-2 win.
INSIDE THE STATS
- ERAU led 7-2 in hits and batted .259 while Rollins hit for just .087.
- The Eagles hit .444 (4-of-9) with two outs and batted .364 (4-of-11) with runners on.
- Wilkie finished 3-of-4 from the plate with the lone RBI.
- Wood followed with two hits and run scored.
- Dougherty pitched a complete game and dished out seven strikeouts and walked three batters.
