Eagles Snap Losing Streak in Midweek Matchup against Edward Waters

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – The Embry-Riddle baseball team snapped its five game losing streak, defeating Edward Waters 9-2 on Tuesday night.

The Eagles' bats were on fire, as they bested the Tigers with seventeen hits to score nine runs. The pitching held strong despite giving away 11 hits, allowing just two runs in the first inning.

First Inning
  • The Tigers got off to a solid 2-0 start, scoring on a sac-fly and a bases-loaded walk with help of two errors from the Eagles.
Third Inning
  • Embry-Riddle kicked off the inning with a walk from Collin Mastromauro before advancing to third on a double from Adam Kuzmicki.
  • Aidan Corn would bring in Mastromauro with a sac-fly to bring the Eagles within one.
Fourth Inning
  • Three hits from the Eagles brought in four runs in the inning, capitalizing on an EWU error as well to take the lead.
  • Malachi Peña reached first on an error to get the inning started.
  • Max McClusky doubled to right field advancing Peña to third.
  • Francisco Feliciano walked to load the bases before Mastromauro followed with a two-run single to make the ERAU lead 3-2.
  • Adam Kuzmicki singled up the middle scoring Mastromauro and Feliciano to increase the Eagle advantage to 5-2.
Sixth Inning
  • Feliciano singled with one out and pushed to second on a base hit from Mastromauro.
  • Corn recorded another RBI, as he hit a single to left field scoring Feliciano for the four-run edge.

  • The Eagles plated three runs on four hits in the inning as McClusky hit a two-run double scoring Derek Lopez and Peña.
  • Feliciano would hit an RBI single scoring McClusky to increase the Eagle lead 9-2.
