DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle softball team defeated Lander in a midweek contest, 7-3, extending the Eagles win streak to three games on the season, the second three-game streak of the season.
The Eagles controlled the game for most of the night, as
Kendall Wilkie led the way from the plate with a 2-of-4 performance which included a homer and and two RBI.
Shelby Morse went six innings from the circle, allowing three runs, no walks, and three strikeouts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
2nd Inning:
- After a scoreless opening frame, the Eagles were the first to get on the board grabbing two in the bottom of the second.
- Riley Sullivan got the scoring started as she hit a sac-fly to bring in Addison Orr to make the Eagle lead 1-0.
- The bases were loaded with one out, and Emma Wood drew an RBI walk scoring Vanessa Gilbert.
- Leah Oberkehr grounded into a fielder's choice which Ava Arnold scored to make the Eagle lead to four headed to the top of the third.
4th Inning:
- Sierra Lipton singled, and advanced all the way to third on an error by the right fielder.
- Wood pushed in a run on a sac-fly, bringing in Lipton to increase the lead to five.
5th inning:
- On the first pitch of the bottom of the fifth, Kendall Wilkie hit a home run to center field to make the Eagle lead 6-0.
- ERAU scored again in the fifth, with help from Orr' single, and Gilbert's walk.
- Another error from Lander helped Orr score increasing the Eagle lead to seven.
7th inning:
- Lander was able to score three runs in the top of the seventh with three hits.
- Olivia Dougherty came in the game to relieve Shelby Morse, allowing one run and striking out three batters to end the game.
INSIDE THE STATS
- The Eagles finished with zero errors compared to Lander's four.
- Lander held a 9-6 edge in hits, batting .300 (9-of-30) while ERAU hit .240 (6-of-25).
- Wilkie had two hits to lead ERAU, knocking her second homer of the season to tie the team lead alongside Wood and Morse.
- The Eagles move to a three game winning streak which ties their season high of consecutive wins on the year.
- Wood had an efficient game despite not having a hit, recording two RBI and two walks.
- Embry-Riddle left eight runners stranded throughout the game.
- Oberkehr's stolen base ties her for the program's individual career stolen base record at 88.
