DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle softball opened the ERAU Round Robin on Friday with a pair of games against Tiffin and Assumption, taking both to extend the win streak to five.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tiffin opened the scoring in the first inning, placing two runners on base with back-to-back singles to lead off the game before plating the pair of runs.
- The Dragons loaded the bases in the second frame with three singles, however, left the bases loaded to end the inning.
- ERAU recorded singles from Ava Arnold and Sierra Lipton in the third frame but the pair were left hanging with three straight outs to follow.
- Embry-Riddle answered in the bottom of the fifth inning with an RBI double from Emma Wood, a two-RBI single from Mattea Martin, and an RBI triple from Addison Orr to claim a 4-2 lead.
- The Eagles notched three more hits in the sixth, threatening to add to the tally thanks to hits from Vanessa Gilbert, Lipton, and Wood.
INSIDE THE STATS
- ERAU led 9-6 in hits, batting .375 (9-for-24) for the game.
- Wood and Lipton led with two hits each while Martin led with two RBI.
- Ava Domenici earned her first win of the season with 5.0 innings pitched, allowing two earned runs on five hits and one strikeout.
- Shelby Morse pitched two innings of relief and allowed just one hit with one strikeout to pick up her first save of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles opened the scoring with Kendall Wilkie reaching on an error.
- Wilkie scored on an RBI double from Martin for the early 1-0 ERAU lead in the first inning.
- Assumption tied the game in the second with an RBI sac bunt.
- ERAU exploded for six runs on five hits in the bottom half of the second inning.
- The Eagles loaded the bases with a single from Gilbert, a double from Riley Sullivan, and a walk from Wood.
- Jessica Van Zyl singled to right field, plating two runners in the process before Martin blasted a three-RBI double for a 6-1 edge.
- Martin would eventually advance home for the 7-1 lead.
- The Greyhounds cut the deficit by one score in the fourth, plating a run with a sacrifice flyout.
- ERAU moved to an eight-run advantage in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI triple from Wilkie, an RBI single from Martin, and scoring on an error.
